Colombian journalist murdered 15 days after reporting death threats to authorities
The Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP) denounces the murder of journalist Luis Carlos Cervantes, which occurred on 12 August 2014 in Tarazá municipality, in the sub-region of Bajo Cauca, Antioquia.
Luis Carlos Cervantes had been working as a journalist for Morena FM community radio station for five years. Until August 2013, he also worked as a correspondent for Teleantioquia News (Teleantioquia Noticias).

ESMAD agents assault a journalist form the newspaper Al Día, from Santa Marta
The Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP, for its acronym in spanish) rejects the serious assaults committed by agents of the Mobile Anti-Riot Police (ESMAD, for its acronym in spanish) against journalist Jorge López Córdoba, news coordinator Al Día from Santa Marta, belonging to El Heraldo’s newspaper house.

Handbook for Access to Public Information
The Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP, for its spanish initials) presents the Handbook for the Access to Public Information, a publication that contains practical and useful tools for journalists and citizens to be able to seek and receive information, defines who are the subjects obliged to provide public information, establishes the type of information that is searchable, and provides a number of useful formats to request information.
